WINDENSEMBLE
The South Grand Prairie High School Wind Ensemble is a consistent Texas UIL Concert and Sight Reading Sweepstakes awards recipient. The Wind Ensemble is the advanced (varsity) ensemble. The members of the Wind Ensemble will prepare music for concerts and competitions, including All-Region and Solo and Ensemble. Private lessons are required to be in the Wind Ensemble. The Wind Ensemble has been consistently nationally recognized in the Mark of Excellence National Wind Band Honors.

The South Grand Prairie High School Wind Symphony is a consistent Texas UIL Concert and Sight Reading Sweepstakes awards recipient. The members of the Wind Symphony will prepare music for concerts and competitions, including All-Region and Solo and Ensemble. Private lessons are strongly recommended.
SYMPHONICBAND
​The South Grand Prairie High School Symphonic Band is a consistent Texas UIL Concert and Sight Reading Sweepstakes awards recipient. The members of the Symphonic Band will prepare music for concerts and competitions, including All-Region and Solo and Ensemble. Private lessons are strongly recommended.
Membership in the Warrior Band carries the following responsibilities:
1. Attendance at all rehearsals, sectionals, clinics, and performances.
2. Preparation of All-State/All-Region music during Fall Semester
3. Participation in Solo and Ensemble Contest.
4. Performance of prepared music designed to strengthen the proficiency of the student.
5. Performance of contest music assigned by the directors.
6. Maintain academic eligibility.
7. Abide by all South Grand Prairie Band Handbook and South Grand Prairie High School policies.
